JBL Spear guns are built to last. However, salt water is very corrosive and can damage the spear gun if not properly taken care of. There are several preventative measures you can use to ensure that they remain in the best condition.

Preventative Care

After each use, wash the spear gun thoroughly with fresh water to remove the salt.

When not in use, remove the slings and place them in a plastic bag out of direct light. Store in freezer compartment of refrigerator.

Make sure the spear tip is attached with lock-tight or some other substance that will keep it from unscrewing.
